trzi (Silesian)
Where does "trzi" come from?
The Silesian word 'trzi' traces its roots back to the Proto-Indo-European *tréyes. From there, it evolved through Proto-Balto-Slavic and Proto-Slavic into the Old Polish 'trzy'. Modern Silesian inherited this form directly, maintaining the ancestral identity of the number three across thousands of years of linguistic change.
