coulé (French)
Where does "coulé" come from?
French coulé is simply the past participle of couler, meaning “flowed,” “poured,” or “sank” depending on context. The verb couler comes from Old French coler/couler, from Latin colāre, originally “to strain” or “filter,” and over time its sense broadened in French to liquids moving or being poured, and by extension to sinking or sliding.
