bueno (Spanish)

Where does "bueno" come from?

The Spanish word 'bueno' traces its origins back to 'dwenos,' a Proto-Italic term meaning 'good.' It evolved through Latin into 'bonus' before being inherited by Old Spanish and eventually transforming into the word used today. Interestingly, 'bueno' is a doublet of 'bonus,' as the latter word was later borrowed directly into Spanish from Latin.
