sealion (English)

Where does "sealion" come from?

The term 'sealioning' originates from a 2014 episode of the webcomic Wondermark, titled 'The Terrible Sea Lion.' In the comic, a sea lion repeatedly and intrusively demands that a character justify their stated dislike of the animal, a behavior that ultimately gave the word its meaning in current internet slang.
